I know first-hand the difference that mindfulness can make in your life.

Prior to being a full-time coach, I was a Global Director in a Fortune 100 Firm.  I traveled internationally 80% of the time and was accountable for $500 Million in annual revenues. I had my grandmother living me, who was in her mid-90’s and was not enjoying my travel schedule.  My mother, who did not live with me, suffered from chronic disease and constantly needed me to be her advocate with her multitude of appointments and medical care. It was overwhelming. I used to feel like I was juggling balls and there could be dire consequences if I were to drop any one of them. It seemed impossible to be present with anyone or anything; I was always worried about the past or the future.

When I was introduced to the concept of being present in the moment, and allowing and accepting what was so, it completely shifted my experience of life.  I was able to enjoy myself with whomever I was with and focus on what needed to be done in the moment.  I stopped worrying about the future and the past.  I was able to relax and enjoy life.  And, what really surprised me, was that time seemed to slow down.  It was as if I had created more time in each day!  I used to dismiss the idea of mindfulness as woo-woo.  Now I’m a believer in finding simple practices that will allow you to declutter your mind, release overwhelm and worry and embrace and enjoy life.
